Life skills have long taken the backseat to training in academic and / or technical areas of expertise. But in recent years, a growing body of data-driven evidence from employers, employees, educators and researchers underscores that life skills are critical for success in work, school, and life.
ProServ South Africa, in partnership with the International Youth Foundation facilitates the Passport to Success® Life Skills curriculum.
By partnering with organisations such as IYF, ProServ South Africa aims to assist educational institutions, businesses and government in bridging the gap between current employment opportunities and increasing the employability of the South African youth, and achieving greater scale and impact on sustainable transformation in Southern Africa.

Leaders in education, business, and government agree that “soft skills” training is one of the missing links contributing to today’s talent gap. However, such programming is often scattered, insufficient or non-existent, leaving too many young people unprepared to get, and keep, a job.
The International Youth Foundation (IYF) is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering today’s young men and women to be productive,
engaged citizens. Foundational to that mission is Passport to Success (PTS), a world-class life skills curriculum originally developed with generous support from the GE Foundation.
